Dr. Aman Sodhi is a senior Oral Medicine specialist and clinician with over 20 years of clinical experience in dentistry, combining advanced clinical expertise with a strong academic background.
She holds a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral Medicine & Radiology, along with a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Brånemark Osseointegration Center India (BOCI) and a Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry.
With 20+ years of clinical experience and 16+ years of academic experience, Dr. Sodhi has developed strong expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning and comprehensive dental care. Her areas of particular clinical interest include Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, facial pain, orofacial pain conditions, oral mucosal disorders and the dental care of older adults.
Jaw pain, clicking or locking of the jaw, difficulty opening the mouth, facial pain, headaches associated with jaw dysfunction and unexplained pain around the ear or temple can sometimes originate from the temporomandibular joint and surrounding muscles.
With her specialist training in Oral Medicine, Dr. Sodhi approaches such conditions through a detailed evaluation of the jaw joints, muscles, bite, oral structures and associated symptoms. Her approach focuses on accurate diagnosis, conservative management wherever appropriate and personalised treatment planning, with referral to other specialists when multidisciplinary care is required.
Dr. Aman Sodhi also has a special interest in the oral healthcare needs of older adults. Her Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry complements her Oral Medicine expertise and enables her to approach dental care with particular attention to age-related changes, multiple dental problems, medical considerations and the functional needs of elderly patients.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Sodhi has built an extensive academic career spanning more than 16 years. She currently serves as Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology at a prestigious dental college in Bangalore, where she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, clinical teaching, academic leadership and mentoring of dental professionals.
